McCabe
offers three worship services each week (a fourth service is added
during Lent-Wednesdays at 7:00 PM) The 10:30 Sunday worship services is
our largest (approximately 300). The service includes a 50 member
choir. Various groups and soloists share at all worship services. Those
familiar with Methodist worship will feel right at home. We sing from
both the United Methodist Hymnal and The Faith We Sing.
The
church gathers at 8:00 and 10:30 AM for worship. Sunday school meets at
9:15 AM (Sunday school classes are offered for ages 2 to 120, with
nursery for the under 2 crowd). Saturday worship starts at 5:00 PM and
favors the Faith We Sing for music. Nursery care is provided at all worship services.
In the United Methodist Church we practice open
communion. We firmly believe that when the table is set for communion,
it is the Lord's table. As such, all who seek Christ are welcome. We
leave it up to parents, whether children and youth are ready to
receive. However, our belief is that as we would not refuse to feed our
children at any other meal, we would not refuse them here either. We
celebrate the Lord's Supper the last weekend of each month. |
