Summer Day Camp 2010 will run, Monday through Friday, from June 7th till August 13th, (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). This year we are holding Summer Day Camp for preschool age children only, including those who will be entering kindergarten this fall.
Activities include gardening, field trips, games, crafts, music, water fun, Bible school, and guest activity leaders and speakers.
The Open Door charges competitive fees that are typically well below the average fees charged in the Bismarck - Mandan area. The cost is $375 per month. Some scholarships are available. The Open Door also accepts Child Care Assistance Program payments for eligible families. Families may share an enrollment slot to reduce cost.
A nutritious noon meal will be provided at Myhre Elementary School through July 20, and snacks are provided at the Open Door. There is no extra charge for lunch or snacks. After July 20, children need to bring a sack lunch. The Open Door Community Center accesses the Great Plains Food Bank, a program of the Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota and America’s Second Harvest national food bank network.
