Welcome to McCabe on line.

Sorry for the long delay in updating McCabe's web site. Even I have computer woes sometimes. My laptop was in the shop for a week, required a fresh installation of XP to get it working properly again and then I had to reload all my software, settings and passwords, before I could get back to business. It was interesting completing a few of my projects without my laptop handy.

The absence of my computer has been good for me though. It proves I can function without it-even if I had 78 emails to sift through when I was online again. Also, adversity is a great test of character. When I felt impatient or frustrated this past week, I reminded myself of this truth. If I am filled with "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23) only when life works according to plan, what does that say about the depth of my faith? The week has been a good test for me.

I don't think I am the only one who gets impatient or frustrated sometimes, so it is a good reminder for us all. We should wear our faith with eloquence when life is easy and hard on Sunday and all the days between.

In Christ,
Pastor Gary

The June/July Messenger is online. Enjoy all the active links. If you want the July calendar only, go to the calendar link on the menu (to the left of this note) and activate the link at the bottom of the weekly activities. If you have problems with the PDF go to the news letter page and try the HTML version. I am working on the quality of the HTML version so please be patient. Another, option would be to update to the newest version of Adobe Acrobat. The vast majority of problems opening PDF files come from missing or corrupted files on the user's computer.
